What to Expect This Summer

What are some fun ways you can keep kids thinking about spiritual matters this summer? We have some ideas.
Hello, everybody! Are you glad summer is here? Part of me says "YES!" while part of me says "Already?!" I know I'm not alone. I have three big announcements today.

ANNOUNCEMENT #1 - No Blog This Summer

Next week will be the last blog in our Teacher Tips series. After that, there will not be a new blog until August. We've got Kids Club, mission trips, family vacations, work, etc. just like you. Instead... (drum roll, please)...
ANNOUNCEMENT #2 - Summer Ideas for Kids Are you looking for some fun ways to keep your children thinking about spiritual matters this summer? We have 50 ideas for you. You can either download all fifty here or get a few each week by email by joining our E-Team. The E-Team will also receive creative and fun ideas I find on the web to spice up your kids' summer.
ANNOUNCEMENT #3 - Family Discipleship Weekend This July we're rolling out "Unique," a Family Discipleship Weekend. Here's the Cliff Notes version. Please contact us for more information about how to bring this fun, unique event to your church.

What is “Unique”?

What makes Christianity unique? Aren't all religions basically the same? "Unique" is a Family Discipleship Weekend designed for entire families. Bring the preschoolers, children, youth, and adults you love as we mix study with games, meals, and service projects. For more information, shoot us an email.

Who is this for?

This event is designed for the whole families (and church family). This means babies, preschoolers, children, youth, and adults (including grandparents, family friends, foster parents, step-parents, boyfriends, girlfriends, Sunday school teachers, youth workers… the list goes on and on). Some lessons and activities are broken out by age group. Some are designed for combinations of age groups. Others involve the whole family (including babies).

When would it be?

This event is designed to span Friday dinner through Saturday night with a 15 min share time on Sunday. The schedule includes early release for families with preschool and elementary children and an early Saturday afternoon break for preschool families to go home for a nap. (Later evening activities are scheduled for youth and adults as well as early Saturday afternoon activities for elementary children, youth, and adults.) Family Discipleship Weekends are great any time of year. Contact us to check available dates.

At your local church.

“Unique” is designed to help families grow in our faith, stand strong in the face of opposition, and better witness to others.

We teach through lessons, workshops, & discussions sprinkled with games, food, service projects, & fun. I can’t wait!

What do churches need to provide?

Churches are asked to provide meeting space, advertising, tables, chairs, meals, supplies, and volunteers. Contact us to request a more detailed list.

I pray God reveals Himself to you and your family in powerful ways this summer, reminding you of His love, faithfulness, and goodness. Amen.
