Prayer: I Want to Know More

How can we pray for you? What do you wish you understood better? What are you struggling with? Jesus prayed a lot. He went off by Himself to spend time with the Father (Luke 15:6). He prayed in front of His disciples (John 17). He also invited them to pray with Him (Matthew 26:36-38). We want to pray for you (Ephesians 1:18; 6:18). How can we pray for you today, this week, and this month? Please shoot us an email or write a comment below to share your requests. You can pray for us too. Here is a specific ways you can pray for us this month:

Bible Month reminds me of Ephesians 1:15-18.
That is why I always remember you in my prayers and thank God for you. I have done this ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people. I always pray to the great and glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that he will give you the Spirit, who will let you know truths about God and help you understand them, so that you will know him better. I pray that God will open your minds to see his truth. Then you will know the hope that he has chosen us to have. You will know that the blessings God has promised his holy people are rich and glorious. Ephesians 1:15-18 (ERV)
God is so much bigger and greater than we are that we can never know everything there is to know about Him (Isaiah 55:8-9). The good news, though, is that God wants us to get to know Him better (Jeremiah 29:13). Part of getting to know someone is to talk to them. That means praying to God. He wants us to ask Him to help us get to know Him better (James 1:3-7). He's not trying to keep it all a secret. We learn and grow as we keep studying the Bible and praying. Do you know more about math than you did last year? Why? Just like you studied math, so we need to study God by reading the Bible. The Lord will help us continue to understand and grow.
Lord, I am glad You understand how all of this works, because I sure don't. Father, I want to understand Your Word, but parts of it are confusing. Please show me what You meant. Bring people into my life that I can ask and who can help me understand. Please give me a hunger for Your Word so I can get to know You better and better. You are so good to me. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
